About me
My name is Francine Kaohulani Kimiko Medeiros. I was born and raised in Lahaina, Maui, where I grew up in a plantation camp behind Pioneer Mill Co. called Mill Camp. I am deeply grateful for the lessons I learned there and for being surrounded by the many cultures that helped shape who I am today.
In 2019, I moved to Oʻahu. The Waiʻanae Coast reminds me so much of Lahaina many years ago "home grown," as I like to call it, where neighbors are like ʻohana and everyone looks out for one another. I feel incredibly blessed to work and serve this beautiful community.
I am passionate about education and have dedicated my career to serving in the field of education since 2007. As the first in my immediate family to earn a college degree from the University of Hawaiʻi at Mānoa, I understand the importance of creating pathways and opportunities for others to achieve their educational goals. I am also a proud mom to my two adult children, Tori and Micah, who are among my greatest blessings.Today, I am honored to be part of the INPEACE Ka Lama Education Academy hui, where I have the privilege of working alongside a dedicated team committed to supporting aspiring and current kumu on their educational journeys.
